Feckin’ rabbit holes. So I thought it would be a good idea to write an article about how to get started in infosec from the perspective of someone who’s working out how to get started in infosec. Solidify my thoughts while I’m still struggling with them rather than as an expert who’s forgotten all the struggles.
Half way through I realise that one of the key resources that I’ve been missing but trying to create in a half-assed fabricobbled not-really-recognising-what-I’m-doing kind of a way is a framework of topics and terminology that I can hang my notes and thinking and research off.
So I looked for one and found fragments and sub-branches here and there but nothing cohesive and fleshed out and complete. So I built it. But it took a long time. Useful though, at least for me. And hopefully for others.
